In late Aug 2023, I got a crazy idea to take my 1973 Bronco out and race the Norra 500. My buddy Todd Clark had mentioned racing a truck in it so I thought......let's go racing and make some stories. 6 weeks later we were in Ensenada and prepping all morning the day of tech inspection. With 0.0 miles in the dirt testing, we lined up and started the race. 11 hours on Friday to San Felipe and 12 hours back on Saturday, we finally finished and won our class. This was the start of the El Gallo Racing

I'm E.O. the owner/driver and could not have had a chance without my epic team of friends/family. Jake Whall is my navigator and first buddy to commit to this crazy venture. Robert Harris "the taxman" aka Nightrider is my amigo and cpa and navigator. He heard about the adventure and offered to come help with anything and he did just that. Kevin McDaniels is a guy I've known 25+ years and i called on him for all my ideas and questions during the build since he is an experienced vintage Bronco racer. Kevin got on board a couple weeks before the race and handled all the pits and ran the chase truck and trailer. Last is my boy Riv, he wanted to go and be part of the crew. River handled keeping the El Gallo clean and navigation. Having Riv navigator was awesome leaving San Felipe. This is the El Gallo team and everyone is crucial and I can't write enough good things about them.
